PAYMENT METHODS:

In order to ensure our customers the best possible prices, we are strictly prepaid only.  Shire Saddlery does not offer credit terms or run accounts.  Goods are only dispatched upon receipt of full payment. 

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Bankcard, personal cheques (subject to clearance), money orders/bank cheques & direct deposit into our Westpac bank account.  Personal cheques take 3 working days to clear; therefore payment by cheque will delay dispatch of your order by up to 3 working days.

While we aim to meet all customer orders, we reserve the right to refuse to process some credit card orders if we feel there is a high risk of credit card fraud. In these instances you will be invited to complete your purchase using a bank cheque, direct deposit or money order.

FREIGHT CHARGES:

Freight is charged at cost.  See below for typical freight charges.

INTERNET SPECIALS:

Some prices that are listed on our web site are for online shoppers only and are not available in our store or by phone. Any item that is marked "Mail Order only" may be ordered on-line or by phone.

DELIVERY TIMES:

We endeavour to process your order as soon as possible, but please allow between 3 to 21 days before goods are sent to you. Order early for Christmas.

BACKORDERS & DISPATCH DELAYS:

We endeavour to stay in stock of items listed on this site, however in the unusual case where we cannot supply the requested item; we will contact you to advise delayed delivery timing, alternative products, or the option to cancel. Please note that your credit card will not be charged until the goods have been confirmed in stock and ready to dispatch.

If for any reason we are unable to supply all requested items and an item is placed on backorder, it will be sent to you as soon as the item becomes available. If your order is for more than one item we will generally send the items that are in stock and backorder the other(s), with freight for the backordered delivery at our cost.

PRICING POLICY:

Shire Saddlery reserves the right to correct pricing errors, and prices are subject to change without notice.  Should a pricing error or unforseen price increase occur, you will be advised prior to any processing of payment or dispatch of goods.

PRODUCTS & AVAILABILITY:

Occasionally samples are photographed; production styles/colours may vary slightly from the samples. All items on this website have been included in good faith on the bias that the goods, as described will be available at the time of the sale. A failure by suppliers to deliver in accordance with the samples, description or at all, or other unintentional causes, may result in some lines being unavailable. Shire Saddlery reserves the right to substitute any product that may not be available with one of equal quality and design. All savings are based on Shire Saddlery's normal price.

Shire Saddlery endeavours to keep its prices highly competitive. You will not be charged for any product until the day of dispatch.

All prices listed on this site are in Australian Dollars and GST inclusive.

MINIMUM ORDER VALUE:

Please note, that we do not process mail-orders under $40.00 as they are not viable once the high costs of labour and packaging are taken into account.

WHOLESALE ENQUIRIES:

Shire Saddlery is a 100% retail business.  We regret that we are unable to supply wholesale to saddleries.

RETURNS POLICY:

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from Shire Saddlery, returns will be accepted for a full refund, provided that goods are:
a) unused, undamaged & able to be resold, in their original, unopened manufacturer’s packaging along with all tags and a copy of the invoice docket
b) received at our office within 7 days of invoice date. We will then replace the goods for you or refund your purchase price using the method in which you originally paid (excluding postage and handling charges).

Should you wish to return an item, you will need to contact our office for return authority.  We do not accept goods returned as COD freight. In order to process your return or exchange of goods, please include a completed returns form. Click here to download a returns form.

Freight & handling costs remain the responsibility of the customer & are not refundable, except in the case of faulty goods or incorrect dispatch.

It is strongly advisable to register your returning parcel, as Shire Saddlery will not accept any responsibility for goods lost in return transit.

Safety equipment is non-refundable. Please be sure to have accurate measurements for Safety helmets and body protectors as they cannot be returned due to safety regulation.

RETURNS POLICY ON HORSE RUGS:

Please be sure of your horse's size before ordering. Freight charges for returning incorrectly sized rugs are the responsibility of the customer.  Rugs returned must be in a saleable condition.  We do not accept returns on rugs that are dirty, wet, or covered in hair or horse manure.   We suggest that you "try on" a new rug on your horse over the top of a clean, lightweight rug.  Due to health regulations we will not accept any goods that are dirty or soiled, horse rugs MUST be clean & free from debris, if not they will be returned to you with the return additional freight costs charged to your credit card.

HORSE RUGS:

We suggest that before the first use, you hose your new canvas rug to expand the fibres to make sure it is waterproof.  It is also a good idea to re-proof your old canvas rugs with a product such as Dry Seal each winter to keep up the waterproofing properties of the canvas.

RIPSTOP:

Refers to the material & describes a way of modifying the wrap & weft of a fabric to enable it to contain rips & tears. Usually a man made toughened fabric this does not mean that it is impossible to rip. It will not stop barbed wire tears. 

WATERPROOF:

This refers to the outer fabric of the rug, which will not allow water to pass from the outside through to the horse’s skin. Any rug advertised as waterproof is referring to the fabric used for the rug, rather than the whole product. This is because rugs contain stitching & fastenings that cannot be tape seamed to prevent water penetration. Although threads swell to fill stitching holes, movement is just as likely to stretch the seams. Ideally you should always be prepared to change a rug that has been subjected to hours of heavy rain for a spare dry one & dry off the original.
